Back by popular demand, the Bemus Point Treasure Hunt is on all weekend! Pick up a treasure map at any participating business, collect stickers as you explore the village, and turn in your completed map for a chance to win a Bemus Basket loaded with amazing local prizes. It’s free to play and fun for all ages.

Barbecue in Bemus: EggFest

If good food is your thing, don’t miss the 7th Annual EggFest on Saturday, August 2 from 11 AM to 3 PM at the Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House. Hosted by Stone & Outdoor Living Center, this fan-favorite event features local chefs grilling on Big Green Eggs, live music by OsbornNash, and tasty samples hot off the grill.

🎟 Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 day-of, and include one raffle entry. Extra tickets? Just $5.

Park Party with Live Music & Wings

We’re heading back to Lakeside Park for a weekend of great music, good eats, and a laid-back lakeside vibe. After smashing a world record at last summer’s Wing Fest, the team at The Village Casino is keeping the tradition alive (without the pressure this time).

Park activities include:

“Light Up The Point” Community Event to Illuminate Bemus Point, NY, on Saturday, November 30th

 

BEMUS POINT, NY – The holiday season is fast approaching, and the Bemus Point Business Association is thrilled to announce a celebration that brings the community together in the spirit of joy and holiday cheer. “Light Up The Point” will take place on Saturday, November 30th, offering a festive and memorable day for residents and visitors alike.

 

This community event is designed to foster holiday spirit and support Bemus Point’s local businesses. The day’s highlight will be a community parade along Main Street, followed by the village’s annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony.

 

HOLIDAY MARKET & COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES

 

From noon to 7 PM, visitors can enjoy a charming Holiday Market in the Skillmans/EBC parking lot, featuring a variety of vendors, including a crowd favorite—kettle corn. Additionally, our local school will be decorating Christmas trees, which will be displayed along Lakeside Drive for all to admire. Visitors can stroll along and vote for their favorite decorated tree, adding a fun, interactive element to the festivities.

 

Throughout the day, businesses and residents will be adorning their storefronts with lights and decorations, enhancing the festive atmosphere. Local businesses will also host special activities to make the holiday experience even more delightful:

 

  • Make Tree Ornaments from 12-4PM at Lakeside Arts & Furniture
  • Pony Rides, Hair Tinseling, Cupcake Decorating & More at Rock Marine. Sweet Lolita’s Cupcakes & Sweet Treats will also be on site…it’s soon to be their new location!
  • Decorating Christmas Cookies at Lake Life Cafe
  • Children’s Christmas Crafts from 12-3PM followed by Story Time with Mrs. Claus at the Bemus Point Library
  • Open House at the Bemus Point Historical Society from 11AM-3PM
  • Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides begin at Noon
  • Photo Opportunity – be an Elf in Santa’s Workshop at The Ugly Peacock
  • Meet & Greet with Santa Claus after the parade and tree lighting!

 

 

SHOP LOCAL ON SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY

 

This year, “Light Up The Point” falls on Small Business Saturday, a day dedicated to celebrating and supporting small, local businesses. Shopping and dining locally makes a real difference to everyone in our Chautauqua County community. Each purchase supports locally owned businesses, helping to create jobs, strengthen local services, and keep our area vibrant and thriving. By choosing to shop and dine locally, visitors and residents alike contribute to the charm, traditions, and future of Chautauqua County. This holiday season, let’s show our support for the businesses that make our region so special!

 

 

 

KEEP THE CHEER HERE! SHOP & DINE IN BEMUS POINT

 

Visitors can enjoy seasonal shopping with special offers and unique gifts throughout the village. The Ugly Peacock will have a special sale on Friday and Saturday, with 20-50% off select items, offering distinctive gifts perfect for the holiday season. Bemus Point Pottery and their neighbors at Petals & Twigs Gifts and Children’s Shoppe will be open Friday and Saturday, November 29 and 30, for an end-of-season sale. Shoppers can enjoy 30% off with card/check payments and 50% off with cash (some exceptions apply). November 30th will be their last open day of the year. Skillmans will also be kicking off their Holiday Sale with great deals on men’s and women’s clothing and gift items.

 

Be sure to stop by Lakeside Arts & Furniture – they offer a wonderful variety of merchandise, from handcrafted art pieces to unique home decor and thoughtful holiday gifts. Visitors can also book a festive Holiday Paint and Sip party, adding a creative touch to their holiday season with friends and family. Additionally, Treasures on Main will be having a “Going Out of Business Sale,” so be sure to stop in for final deals on unique holiday items.

 

Looking for a unique experience? Alpacaville will be open for visitors to meet certified therapy alpacas and browse their Alpaca-themed gifts and accessories.

 

The Lawson Center will also be open from 3-5PM before the parade, welcoming visitors to explore their rich collection of boating history and heritage. The museum’s shop will feature a fine selection of merchandise, including a brand-new line of sweatshirts. Many items will be marked down 20%-50%, making it the perfect opportunity to pick up unique holiday gifts while supporting a beloved local institution.

 

Local restaurants will be joining in the festivities, offering seasonal dishes and treats to keep visitors warm and energized as they explore Bemus Point. Bemus Point Inn Restaurant, Guppy’s Restaurant & Tavern, Lake Life Café, Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House, Coppola’s Pizzeria, 14 Main, and The Green Door Tavern will all be open for the event. Contact individual businesses for hours.

 

On Sunday, December 1st, Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House will continue the holiday spirit with a special shopping bazaar. Don’t miss their “One Stop Christmas Shop” from noon to 3 PM.

 

LIGHT UP THE POINT PARADE

 

Saturday will culminate in the Light Up The Point Parade at 5 PM, which we encourage everyone to join! Visitors are encouraged to wear their holiday best and join the fun—decorated golf carts and cars are welcome, so bring your light up gear and glow sticks!

 

Parade participants should gather at the lineup areas by 4:45 PM: children at the bus garage and decorated cars and golf carts at the golf course. The parade will proceed down Main Street and end at the intersection of Lakeside Drive and Main Street, where attendees will gather with Santa Claus for caroling and the lighting of the Village Tree.

Bemus is Blooming has become a tradition for the community, serving as a season kick-off for many of the village’s beloved businesses. This event allows businesses to showcase their new spring goods and services while also offering special food and drink menus that embrace the season’s flavors.

For those who enjoy shopping, Bemus Point has an array of locally owned and operated shops that will be participating in the event. Visitors can expect to find new spring-themed items, from clothing to home decor, that embody the spirit of the season. These shops will also have their doors open to welcome visitors and showcase their new offerings. Visit these wonderful local shops during Bemus is Blooming: Alpacaville, Bemus Point Pottery, Lakeside Arts & Furniture, Loud Performance, Petals & Twigs Gifts & Children’s Shoppe, Skillmans, The Ugly Peacock and Treasures on Main (call individual businesses for hours).

Bemus Point’s local non-profit organizations are getting involved by hosting open houses and showcasing their services to the community. This provides an opportunity for visitors to learn about the work these organizations do and how they can get involved and support their community. Be sure to stop by The Lawson Center, Bemus Point Historical Society, and Bemus Point Library on Saturday!

Ellicottville Brewing on Chautauqua will be hosting a “Books ‘n Brews” fundraiser, supporting the Bemus Point Library on Friday, May 3 from 4PM to close. Visitors will have the opportunity to win one of the nearly 100 raffle baskets and enjoy literary themed cocktails during this special event!

Bemus is Blooming is also an excellent opportunity for visitors to indulge in some seasonal cuisine. Bemus Point is home to several restaurants and cafes that will be offering special spring-themed menus during the event. Many of Bemus Point’s restaurants will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo all weekend long! Visitors can expect to find a variety of delicious dishes and drinks at these restaurants, as well as specials throughout the weekend (call individual businesses for info).

It’s also Kentucky Derby Weekend! Visitors can enjoy the race at restaurants around the village. The Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House will also be hosting their annual Derby party Sunday night…they’re encouraging everyone to wear their best hats!

“Light Up The Point” Community Event to Illuminate Bemus Point, NY, on December 2nd

 

BEMUS POINT, NY – The holiday season is fast approaching, and the Bemus Point Business Association is excited to announce a celebration that aims to unite the community in the spirit of joy and togetherness. “Light Up The Point” is set to take place on Saturday, December 2nd, promising a festive atmosphere and a memorable day for residents and visitors alike.

 

This day of festivities is designed to foster community bonds and encourage supporting Bemus Point’s local businesses during the holiday season. The highlight of the event will be a community parade along Main Street, followed by the village’s annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony.

 

COMMUNITY CELEBRATION & ACTIVITES

As part of the celebration, businesses and residents will be adorning their storefronts with lights and decorations, adding to the overall festive ambiance. Throughout the day, various local businesses will host special events to enhance the holiday experience. Some of the activities include:

 

  • Christmas Crafts for Kids at Lakeside Arts & Furniture
  • Breakfast with Santa (9-11:30 AM) at Loud Performance
  • Cupcake Decorating (1-4 PM) at Sweet Lolita’s Cupcakes & Sweet Treats
  • Photo Booth with Frosty & Rudolph at Splash (2-4PM)
  • Decorating Mini Gingerbread House Creations & Writing Cards for Nursing Homes (8 AM-4:30 PM) at Lake Life Cafe

Visitors will also be able to enjoy delicious food specials and holiday shopping. Visit The Ugly Peacock during their last weekend open for 2023. Shoppers will find the best sales of the season, with 50% off all most inventory including Christmas merchandise. They can also enjoy one of Verleni’s bakery-famous cocoa bombs! Skillmans will also be kicking off their Holiday Sale, don’t miss great deals on womens & mens clothing and gift items! Visitors can head to Alpacaville to enjoy a visit with certified therapy alpacas and shop their collection of Alpaca themed gifts and accessories. Shoppers will also find just what they’re looking for at Lakeside Arts & Furniture and Treasures on Main, they’re fully stocked with great gifts for the holidays!

 

Local restaurants are also joining in on the holiday cheer, adding to the festive atmosphere with seasonal specials and delightful treats. Bemus Point Inn Restaurant, will open its doors for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the event. Patrons can celebrate the festivities with the Mistletoe Mimosas or indulge in their dinner special – delicious prime rib. Guppy’s Restaurant & Tavern is also getting into the holiday spirit with tempting offerings. Visitors can enjoy Merry Margaritas for just $6 and Pint Glasses for $5. The chef’s special for the day includes Stout Braised Short Ribs and a delectable Holiday Bread Pudding. These culinary delights are sure to add an extra layer of warmth and flavor to the holiday celebration! Lake Life Café, Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House, Coppola’s Pizzeria, Sweet Lolita’s Cupcakes & Sweet Treats, 14 Main and The Green Door Tavern will also be open for the festivities! LIGHT UP THE POINT PARADE

The day will culminate in the highly anticipated Light Up The Point Parade at 5 PM. Visitors are encouraged to dress up in their holiday best and join the parade…decorated golf carts and cars are also welcome to participate, do your best to make things glow!

 

Parade participants are encouraged to gather at the designated lineup areas at 4:45 PM. Children will convene at the tennis courts, while decorated cars and golf carts will line up at the golf course. The parade will proceed down Main Street, showcasing the community’s festive spirit. It will conclude at the intersection of Lakeside Drive and Main Street, where attendees will gather with Santa Claus for caroling and the official lighting of the Village Tree.

Celebrate the changing of the seasons during Bemus Point’s Annual Fall Fest, September 15-17!

This celebration of autumn will include a street market with vendors and sidewalk fare, a petting zoo, open houses, live music and seasonal food & drink specials at the restaurants, “Draw-a-Leaf Discounts” at the stores and more!

Around Town: Street Market

Take a stroll along Main Street during the Fall Fest Street Market on Saturday and Sunday from 10-5 (many vendors will also be selling their wares from 10-5 on Friday).

Visit over 60 specialty vendors selling their locally made goods, delicious fall treats and artwork. You’ll find our friends from Alpacaville, Ace Kettle Corn, Hope Smoothies, Studio Julep, Little Creek Maple Syrup, Stone & Outdoor Living Center, Tom’s Place, Urban Warehouse Designs, and many more!

Draw-a-Leaf Discounts: 5% – 50% Off!

A highlight of this event is the “Draw-a-Leaf” Discounts at Bemus Point’s stores…this annual sale is a customer favorite!

Customers draw from a jar of leaves when they check-out, each marked with a discount between 5% and 50%. Items that are almost never discounted are included in this Fall Fest special. It’s the perfect time for customers to save on that special something they’ve had their eye on.

Open Houses, Live Music and Special Events

There will be a Classic Car and Motorcycle Cruise-In at the Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House on Saturday, beginning at 1PM. Bring your classic car or bike and meet some new friends and auto enthusiasts while enjoying music and Mikey’s Famous Chicken BBQ.

On Saturday The Lawson Center and the Bemus Point Historical Society will be hosting open houses, visitors can stop by and see their newest exhibits. The Bemus Point Library will also be having a Book & Bake Sale.

Catch a ride on the Bemus Point-Stow Ferry…Fall Fest will be the last weekend that they’re running for the year!

Enjoy live music around the village, kicked-off on Friday with Lenny Sales (6-9PM) at Ellicottville Brewing on Chautauqua and Whiskey Trick, playing Friday evening at The Fish.

Kick-off Saturday at Lake Life Café with live music from Corey Hagstrom on the porch (10AM-2PM). Visit EBC to enjoy Reggae tunes from Lopaka Rootz (2-5PM) followed by a DJ (8-11PM) for the evening crowd. The Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House will be hosting DJ Carmello (1-5PM), with the Last Call Band performing at The Fish.

On Sunday, celebrate the Bills Home Opener in Bemus! Enjoy watching the game at your favorite restaurants. The BPGC&TH will be hosting a Buffalo Bills Party with entertainment from Skinny Moo (1-5PM).

Petting Zoo & Face Painting

Fall Fest isn’t complete without a visit to the petting zoo! A staple during Bemus Point events, the petting zoo features animals that people of all ages can enjoy. The petting zoo will be located across the street from the Bemus Point Fire Hall on Saturday and Sunday (11AM-4PM). Children will also be able to get their faces painted right next door at Lakeside Arts & Furniture!

Fall Food & Drink Specials at the Restaurants

You’ll find delicious seasonal fall specials for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks at Bemus Point’s dining establishments.

Start with breakfast at the Bemus Point Inn and try their pumpkin waffle, served with whipped cream cheese, sliced banana and pecan praline sauce or head to Lake Life Café before visiting the Street Market and try an apple cider or pumpkin spice latte, perfectly paired with a homemade scone.

Savor dishes like Guppy’s Tavern’s seared pork over spatzle topped with creamy mushroom gravy & garnished with crispy onions or Ellicottville Brewing on Chautauqua’s Bavarian soft pretzels served with beer cheese and a fall themed draft (don’t miss the launch of their new fall menu). Head to Splash and enjoy a glass of wine and delicious tapas…or try one of their specialty frozen cocktails!

The Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House will be serving house made seasonal foods, craft beer, and their fall bourbon smash cocktail. The Bemus Point Inn will be featuring prime rib and Cornish game hens served over eggplant puree and tri-colored carrots, with beer and wine available.

Looking for a little spice? Be sure to visit 14 Main and try their Nashville Hot Chicken menu items…see if you can handle the heat!

For dessert enjoy a cupcake from one of Bemus Point’s newest businesses, Sweet Lolita’s Cupcakes & Sweet Treats – they’re featuring fall flavored baked goods (including apple cider cupcakes) for the event. The Bemus Point Market will be serving Perry’s ice cream along with a homemade pie special, buy one – get one free!

4th of July Fireworks in Bemus Point – Sunday, July 3rd at 10:00 PM

The Bemus Point Business Association (BPBA) is excited to announce that we have officially met our fundraising goal for this year’s Fireworks in the Bemus Bay!

The Bemus Point Fireworks display will be taking place on Sunday, July 3rd at 10 PM from barges in Bemus Bay. The Village of Bemus Point will be shutting down a portion of Lakeside Drive (near the intersection of Lakeside & Main) at 9 PM. This portion of the road will be closed for the duration of the fireworks show. We encourage visitors to bring their chairs to this area to enjoy the display! The fireworks show will also be visible from the Village Park and can be enjoyed from boats and docks around the Bemus Bay.

The Bemus Point Business Association (BPBA) is excited to announce that we are hosting our first inaugural Meet and Greet on Sunday, March 27th from 2-5PM at the Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House.

This Meet and Greet will provide an opportunity for community members and business owners to come together while learning about the Bemus Point Business Association’s mission, events, and projects. We encourage all interested parties to attend, light refreshments will be provided.

Announcements will begin at 3PM, during which we will be presenting this year’s official schedule of events sponsored by the BPBA.

If you’re interested in supporting Bemus Point’s small business community and events, there will also be an opportunity to become a social member of the BPBA for a $50 donation. Funds raised through this program will go towards future events, including our yearly 4th of July fireworks display.

Social members will receive special updates and newsletters regarding projects and events, the ability to participate on committees, and will be listed on a Thank You page on our website, www.visitbemuspoint.com.
