Originally established decades ago, the property underwent a major transformation beginning in September 2017. A full-scale renovation to the existing clubhouse was completed, led by Mike Steffen Contractor Inc., with a vision to blend rustic charm and modern amenities. The remodel included a brand-new entrance for convenient guest access, expanded deck dining with views of the course, a spacious new bar, and a reimagined interior layout featuring upgraded restrooms and kitchen facilities.<\/p>\n
Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors now open up to the fairways, creating a bright, airy atmosphere that seamlessly connects the indoor and outdoor dining experiences. Whether you’re here for lunch with friends, a date night, or post-round relaxation, the views and vibes are unbeatable.<\/p>\n
As the Tap House name suggests, we proudly offer over 20 beers on tap, including a rotating selection of local craft brews from across Western New York. Our food menu delivers a creative twist on classic golf course fare, elevating favorites into house-made, craveable dishes that keep guests coming back.<\/p>\n
At the Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House, we strive to be a year-round destination. The Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House, a long-standing staple in Bemus Point, NY, proudly entered a new chapter of ownership and vision on September 1, 2017, under the leadership of Bryce and Rachael Steffen. Nestled in the heart of the village and just minutes from Chautauqua Lake, this locally owned business has been thoughtfully revitalized into a four-season destination for golf, dining, and community gathering.<\/p>\n
While the public 9-hole golf course remained open during the transition, the clubhouse underwent a complete transformation. After months of renovations, the newly reimagined clubhouse officially opened its doors on May 9, 2018, offering a full-service restaurant and bar open year-round. From golf in the summer to snowmobiling in the winter, the Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House welcomes visitors during all seasons.<\/p>\n
Bryce Steffen, a Bemus Point native, has deep roots in the community and a lifelong love for golf. His grandfather, who lived in nearby Oriental Park, was a familiar face on the course and once famously played 180 holes in a single day \u2014 never scoring more than a 46 on any 9-hole round. Bryce\u2019s background includes roles at HSBC Mortgage, Scotts Miracle-Gro, and ownership of both a landscaping business and Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile Services. An avid outdoorsman, Bryce brings energy, passion, and hometown pride to the course.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have a drive to be community-oriented and a four-season destination,\u201d says Bryce. \u201cWe\u2019re grateful for the support of our neighbors and friends and are committed to creating a place where everyone feels welcome.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rachael Wiley-Steffen, originally from Ellicottville, NY, shares Bryce\u2019s love for small-town charm and outdoor adventure. She was instantly drawn to Bemus Point\u2019s friendly, nostalgic vibe when the two met in 1999. Now married for 20 years, Rachael brings strategic leadership and hospitality expertise to the business. She currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of ERA Team VP Real Estate & Vacation Rentals.<\/p>\n
